This week’s challenge reminds me of the surprise of gourds waiting on my teacher’s desk a few weeks ago.
I stopped by the school, knowing I had a task ahead of me: lots of things are out of place–more than usual because a new air system was being installed.
When I saw those gourds, though, I had to smile.
Our former custodian still drops by to help at the school and he planted these for me last spring, his contribution to a class garden area I’d started.
Something about the metal chairs and disconnected technology and those life filled gourds just says “merge” to me.
