Friday’s Five

This process of paying attention is really life changing. When you make room for good, more comes. Every day.

Five of my many reasons to be glad this week:

Resting and thinking time thanks to a spring break holiday–it is amazing what decisions can be made when one has time to consider possibilities …

Playing cards with my husband–and winning …

Finding beautiful fabrics for scarves and quilts and collage –on clearance…

Watching a blue heron glide across our pond…

Opening a book entitled In Remembrance and smiling at the gift of my late mother’s handwriting inside. The man who helped clear debris from the demolition of the house found it as he moved truckloads of wood and glass. I think it was meant to be. Looks like he pays attention, too.

  1. This gave me goosebumps. I try to live like this although I think writing the five out is probably helpful and makes you even more appreciative. I’m glad you share this. It doesn’t make me jealous, “Oh her life is so wonderful”, it reminds me to pay attention to my own.

    • Thank you for reading. It absolutely is not meant to make people jealous. I’m a firm believer that no one is meant to live another’s life. I’m focusing on the good here…there’s plenty of the not so good, too…and, yes, writing them has been life changing. Knowing I plan to write them has been remarkably changing because I do watch more. I take more moments to see.
I’d love to hear your “five”…
